EVENT PARKING
Here's our parking guide for the Longridge Soap Box Derby. Please be aware, some parking is for blue badge holders only and spaces are limited.
Closed Car Parks and Parking Restrictions.
Parking will be suspended on the north side (park side) of Kestor Lane between 06.00am and 18.00pm to ensure that buses and emergency vehicles can safely make their way along this section of road.
Berry Lane will be closed to traffic with effect from 06.00am and will not open until 18.00pm. We would politely request that anyone parking on Berry Lane on Saturday 14th September 2024, move their vehicles by 06.00am on the Sunday to avoid their car being stuck for the day.
Due to the closure of Berry Lane, to facilitate SoapBox, the Car Parks at Booths and Barclay Road will be closed to all parking.
Civic Hall is being used as the pit area for SoapBox and so no parking will be available at that venue either.
MAIN EVENT PARKING
Longridge Showground
The main car parking for Longridge SoapBox Derby will be situated at Longridge Show Ground (off Lower Lane(B6243), Longridge, Preston. PR3 2YH). From there, you can walk to Berry Lane in about 20 minutes or you can make use of the free Park and Ride bus service which will be running between 09.30am and 18.00pm. The bus services will drop you on Kestor Lane, where you can walk through The Rec to get to all of the entertainment.
Parking is free, as is the bus service, although we would appreciate any donations you can make, which will got to St Catherine’s Hospice.
Longridge Town Football Club
Our friends at LTFC have again, very kindly, allowed us to use their car park for the day (The Recycling Lives Ground, Inglewhite Rd, Longridge, Preston PR3 2NA). This car park is about a 5-minute walk from the bottom of Berry Lane
